This April has several dates worth circling on your calendar (or setting alerts for if you're digitally inclined like me). Here's what you should keep an eye on:
April 1st brings the usual April Fool's Day shenanigans - watch out for office pranks! I've learned from experience that it's best to be a bit skeptical of any surprising news that day.
The big one, of course, is Tax Day on April 15th. Don't wait until the last minute like I did last year - those late filing penalties are no joke, and the IRS doesn't care about your excuses (trust me on this one).
Easter falls on April 20th this year, with Easter Monday on the 21st. If you've got kids, you might want to stock up on chocolate and egg-decorating supplies ahead of time. The good stores always seem to run out right when you need them.
And don't forget Earth Day on April 22nd! In my neighborhood, there's usually a community clean-up event - maybe check if something similar is happening near you?
